Our volunteer board of directors and core volunteers work diligently year-round to administer the program. We continually seek volunteers to help with administration processes, community outreach, special event implementation and trip support crew to ensure that our Honor Flight organization runs smoothly . Scott Sheridan
President
Scott is a retired Army Veteran and currently works in the Chief of Staff office for the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Since first participating as a Guardian in 2010, he has held various roles within in the organization and is now President. He works to support Veteran causes when able to and being with Honor Flight is another way to give back to those that have given so much.
Billy Muessig
Vice President
Billy, a National Guard Veteran, is the owner of a Mr. Electric franchise in Smithville, MO. He has been a guardian on several flights and has supported the mission as part of the operations team, since 2010. As a Veteran small business owner, he continues the mission of taking care of Veterans, with his role on the board.
John Warrior
Secretary/Media
John is a graduate of Kansas State University and is a project manager and estimator for a commercial general contractor in Kansas City. He sings with the choir at the Lenexa Baptist Church and enjoys taking pictures for the church, for Honor Flight and at air shows. He and his wife live in Overland Park and have two daughters and one grand-daughter. He is the proud son of a Navy veteran of WWII.
Valerie Anderson
Photographer/Special Events
Valerie is a transplant to the Midwest from Alaska. She has photographed 21 Honor Flights, with hundreds of veterans with stories. She has photographed around the world, donating all of her images to charitable organizations and families. Valerie's 7th great grandmother was a Revolutionary War Patriot. Honoring veterans is literally in her blood.
