HONOR FLIGHT EVENTS AROUND THE AREA

3/16/2012  SNAKE PARADE, NORTH KANSAS CITY  Three of the hardy WWII veterans that have been on flights with us braved the elements today to ride the float in the Snake Saturday Parade. Honor Flight Network KC's Snake Parade theme this year was Irish Roots and Combat Boots! Thank you to everyone that participated in preparing the float and walked with us during the parade! Thank you to The Cass Gazete for providing the new banners and to DJ Lucky for providing the sound system!! Thank you to everyone that volunteered, helped build the float, provided food, etc.   It was a great time for all.

3/2/2013 HARVEST MOON BAND FUNDRAISER   The event raised almost $4,000 dollars from donations and auction items. We would like to give a big THANK YOU to Harvest Moon and Queen of the Holy Rosary Church that hosted the event as well as the many sponsors that donated times, supplies, and other items to make this such a success! The sponsors include UPS, Furniture Medic, Sonic, McDonald's, Brookdale Living, Quik Trip, Hy-Vee, Metcalf Discount Liquor, Stone Pillar Winery and Vineyard, Burger King, John Paul II School, School of Religion Program at Queen of the Holy Rosary, Troop 295, Knights of Columbus, Perfect Stitches Embroidery, US Airways, Kansas City Royals, Blacksheep Custom Cakes, ADA Fundraising, and many other private donors! Thank to all the volunteers with Honor Flight that manned the tables, and answered questions about the hub and helped with the set up and tear down! We couldn't have done it without your help!!
