Flightless Honor Flight Applications
For a variety of reasons, some Veterans are unable to fly. It may be
medical issues that the Veteran’s physician deem as significant or the
Veteran may feel that the trip to DC and back on a single day is just too
much. Honor Flight Kansas City has a special program for these
Veterans. It includes all aspects of a normal mission except for the
actual flight to DC and back. Using video technology and some magic,
and a ton of volunteers we will recreate the entire experience including: each Vet will have a dedicated guardian a special flight shirt & Lanyard the virtual flight with all associated activities and/or field trips breakfast, lunch & snacks special flight mementos
There is no cost to the Vet. Guardians are asked to donate $75 to
Kansas City Honor Flight for the honor of escorting a war-era Veteran on
this mission.
